Larger Midsize Package of Subaru Legacy 2010
The 2010 Subaru Legacy, whose predecessor is renowned for its reliability and sports, now with a longer wheelbase, nearly four inches more legroom and the back seat of a new power with the new Subaru Lineartronic (TM) CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). With the basic technology of Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) with FHI initial horizontally opposed (Boxer) engine, the new Legacy sedan includes superb driving performance and vital environmental considerations, while increasing room and a comfort.

On a whole new platform, the new Legacy sedan offers space comparable to integrate mid-sized sedans in North America that is built around comfort and space. The new Legacy sedan is 35 mm long, 90 mm wide and 80 mm higher than the previous model. Although its dimensions are false shortened 45 mm, the wheelbase is increased by 80 mm, which allows more space for rear legs.
Chain-type CVTS boast higher torque and lower implementation capacity of friction, to help provide greater energy efficiency than the belt type CVTS. CVT ™ Lineartronic employs smaller pulley cores, which makes the device compact. And because of the large difference in size between the smallest and largest diameters of pulleys basic CVT provides infinite variability between highest and lowest ratios, which helps keep the engine in its range over the effective. For the first time in the U.S. market, the six-speed manual transmission is offered with the 2.5-liter non-turbo Legacy model. The new 6MT offers excellent fuel economy and improved driving and rides quiet at high speed going through its coverage ratio larger.
